Tipi Weddings: Magic in a meadow near London

We host a select number of wedding weekends over the summer each year, for special celebrations under our oak tree or on our woodland stage for up to 200 guests followed by a knees up under our festoon-lined tipi marquee.
Home Farm is the perfect venue for couples looking for the wedding weekend experience. Our site hire begins on Friday afternoon to set up and prepare (and even host a small soiree to kick-start the celebrations), through to Sunday evening so that you have maximum time with your loved ones. We have 12 charming glamping tents included within the site hire fee as well as space for extra tents to be pitched and campervans to be parked, so that you can invite guests to stay for the duration of the weekend.
We feel pretty passionately about no corkage fees and giving our wedding couples the choice to work with their preferred suppliers, but our friendly team is able to support you all the way through the planning process and offer local recommendations should you require.
In August, we had the pleasure of hosting Alisdair and Caitlin’s magical wedding weekend. Here’s what they had to say about our beautiful venue and the planning process:
“Absolutely incredible venue for a blank canvas wedding. We couldn't recommended Home Farm enough. We used Home Farm for our wedding weekend in August 2024. After running around the country to see many different venues, as soon as we got to Home Farm we knew it was the one.
It ticked so many boxes: multiple indoor spaces (tipi and barn), as well as loads of space for being outside; options for people to stay on site (we added a few extra bell tents); and accessible from across the country and touching distance of London.
The team (big shout out to Alice in particular) were so great. We had regular calls throughout the process and she was so helpful in answering our millions (!!) of questions and helping to find solutions for us (this became trickier when we relocated overseas just before the wedding!).
We spent a night at Home Farm ahead of the big day (you have a complimentary stay). This was really great to get a good sense of the site and how we might use things and maximise the different spaces available.
Everything was perfection - we had a welcome BBQ in the barn, a magical woodland "wedding", dancing in the tipi and then winding down by the fire for the late night stragglers. We just wish we could do it all over again... anniversary party maybe?!
We had around 180 guests this fitted in the tipi easily for dinner and decided to add an extra tipi for dancing (although you could go back into the barn or move the chairs).
